Bayern to let Thiago go for €30m?

A lot of contrasting stories have appeared recently about the future of Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara. The 29-year-old midfielder has made 36 appearances in all competitions this season for the Bavarians, and while some reports have suggested head coach Hans-Dieter Flick was keen on keeping his services, Sport Bild now claim that the club are willing to part ways with him.

Thiago has mostly been linked with Liverpool and the recently crowned Premier League champions remain his preferred destination, but he also remains open to other exploring other avenues if they choose against making the move. Bayern reportedly demanded €40 million at first, but with his contract now in its final year, they would now accept an offer of €30m.

Bayern have already completed the signing of winger Leroy Sane, but in order to secure further arrivals, they will have to raise funds through sales. Corentin Tolisso is another one that could leave the Allianz Arena this summer if Thiago stays put.
