Bayern to spend over £200m in summer

According to a recent report from Bild, German giants Bayern Munich will have more than £200 million to spend during the summer transfer window in order to try and bolster their squad. Bayern have had a solid enough season when it comes to their domestic ambitions, but they were unable to compete on the European stage as they suffered, by their standards, an early exit from the Champions League. With some of their biggest names being set to move on to pastures new or retire altogether, they need to start thinking about bringing in some fresh faces.

Timo Werner is said to be at the top of their list and has been for quite some time, but he isn’t the only one. Bayern are also very interested in Chelsea sensation Callum Hudson-Odoi, who recently picked up an unfortunate injury which brought his season to an abrupt end.

Kai Havertz is also a big target for the Bundesliga leaders, although Leverkusen are set to ask for over £100 million in order to agree to sell him.
