Bayern Munich are interested in Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, according to Daily Record.
The two clubs have entered negotiations, and the report says the outlet “understands” that the Bavarians have been granted permission to contact Sane’s representatives with a view of discussing personal terms. If so, it would mean that the two clubs have already agreed on a transfer fee or are confident of getting there fairly soon.
The 23-year-old joined City from Schalke 04 in the summer of 2017, and he was vital in the club’s run to the Premier League title in his debut season. However, Bernardo Silva was brought in last year, together with Riyad Mahrez, and with Raheem Sterling playing the season of his career so far, Sane has been forced to take a back seat recently, despite often coming in from the bench to deliver match-winning input.
Bayern are parting ways with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer, and Sane’s return to Germany would perfectly complement the likes of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the wide attacking positions.
