Bayern watching Andre Ayew
Bayern are weighing up a move for Marseille forward Andre Ayew, L’Equipe has revealed.
The Ghanaian forward has been in amazing form this season, scoring 6 goals in 15 league games.
He has been attracting admiring glances from big European clubs, with English side Arsenal heavily linked with the 21-year-old.
According to L’Equipe, Bayern Munich are also keen on the promising winger and they are preparing a January bid for the player’s services.
The Bavarians are looking to add more quality to their attacking department and they see Ayew as a perfect addition to the squad.
Bayern are reportedly ready to offer around €10 million for the winger, but that is unlikely to be enough to prize him away from Velodrome.
Ayew has two and a half years left on his deal with Marseille and the French giants are not yet willing to let the player leave the club.
Van der Wiel welcomes Valencia interest
The agent of Ajax full-back Gregory van der Wiel believes that a move to Valencia would be good for his client.
The 23-year-old is widely considered to be one of the best right-backs in European football and he looks set to leave Amsterdam Arena.
Valencia have been showing interest in his services and the player’s client admits that his client would like to get reunited with his former Ajax teammate.
“Van der Wiel is open to a move to Hedwiges Maduro’s club,” Hakim Slimani told Voetbal International.
“Valencia would be a good step in Gregory’s career. He is their first option for a new right-back and Valencia is a great club in a top competition.”
However, Slimani denies that they have already agreed terms with Valencia over a five-year deal.
“First the clubs have got to reach an agreement. The contact is, in any case, in a positive atmosphere.”
Roma chief admits De Rossi could leave
Roma general manager Franco Baldini is no longer convinced that midfielder Daniele De Rossi will sign a new deal at Olimpico.
The Italy international has just over six months left on his deal and negotiations over a contract extension are not producing expected results.
The club icon is having second thoughts regarding his stay at Olimpico and could accept one of the big money offers from interested clubs.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keen on the experienced midfielder and Roma chief Franco Baldini admits De Rossi could leave the club.
“I will only say that De Rossi, as a man and as a player, is a person we need,” Baldini was quoted as saying in Il Corriere dello Sport.
“Why are there so many difficulties? We are talking about a player, scouted all over the world, with only six months left on his deal.
“He is an intelligent man, at the top of his career, tempted by many offers. That is the difficulty. He is legitimately evaluating all the options and I hope he won’t decide to leave.”
