Serge Gnabry is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract with Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and according to Sky in Germany, the talks between the player and the club, though still ongoing, haven’t produced results so far. It’s still widely expected to happen, but if not, a number of top European clubs are ready to pounce and try to snatch him from the Allianz Arena. Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all said monitoring the situation closely.
Bayern certainly want to keep Gnabry. With 12 goals in 28 matches in all competitions this season, the 26-year-old winger is second only to Robert Lewandowski at the club.
However, it appears that the Germany international is well aware of his quality and interest in his services, and he’s not ready to accept anything less than what his teammates and competitors for the starting XI place, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane make.
For the moment, Gnabry would prefer to sign a new contract, rather than move anywhere else.
