One by one, media outlets in France are reporting about Bayern Munich’s pursuit of LOSC Lilles Nicolas Pepe.
Le10Sport broke the news two weeks ago, stating that the two clubs and the player’s representatives had already held talks which went in a positive direction, and now L’Equipe have jumped on the train by claiming that Bayern are preparing a huge sum of around €80 million for that purpose. If the deal gets done for that price, the 23-year-old winger would become the most expensive signing in the history of the Bavarian club. It is believed that Adidas would be required to provide financial support to make the move happen.
With the time of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery slowly coming to an end, Bayern are left with Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry as the the only pair of designated wingers, and they are desperate to boost the competition for the two wide attacking positions for the foreseeable future.
