Manchester United striker Bebe has added fuel to speculation linking him with a summer move to Benfica.
After spending last two years on loan spells at Primeira Liga clubs, the 24-year-old appears set to leave the Red Devils on permanent basis, and everything suggests he will be returning to Portugal.
League champions Benfica are already in talks with Manchester United and they are expected to reach an agreement over the transfer fee in the coming days.
The fact Bebe did not travel with the squad for the North American tour is enough to suggest he is on the verge of leaving.
“I am still waiting (for the club) to tell me something,” Bebe revealed to O Jogo. “I confess I already feel some anxiety, because I want to start working at my new club as soon as possible.”
Bebe has only made two Premier League appearances since arriving at Old Trafford in a shock move from Vitoria Guimaraes, while enjoying loan stints with Besiktas, Rio Ave and Pacos de Ferreira.
The talented forward was in fine form last season, having managed 11 goals in 27 Primeira Liga outings.
