Tottenham have revealed that David Beckham will continue training with their squad until the end of the month.

The LA Galaxy midfielder has been at the Premier League club since January in an effort to maintain his fitness during the MLS off-season.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was hoping to tie up a loan deal for the former England captain but efforts to strike an agreement fell through, preventing Beckham from appearing in competitive fixtures.

The 35 year-old was expected to return to America early this month to prepare for the start of the MLS season.

Beckham’s contract at Galaxy is due to expire in November and Redknapp has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to strike a permanent deal for the former Manchester United man.
