(GSM) – David Beckham still has warm feelings for Manchester United. The English midfielder is set to face his former club when his club Milan meets United in the next stage of the Champions League.

Beckham left the Red Devils in 2003 to join Real Madrid and the second leg of the eight finals would be his first game as a visitor to Old Trafford.

“I would not celebrate if I scored against United,” said Beckham.

“Sometimes when you score the excitement wins you over but I respect the club and the fans.

“Even though I do not play for them anymore I am still a great fan. Accepting the fact that I was no longer a United player was really tough for me.

“I had really bad days but the supporters always backed me. It will be a great emotion to play them, both for me and my family. United are the biggest club in the world.”

Beckham spent 13 seasons at Old Trafford playing nearly 400 games and scoring 85 goals. He won six titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League title.
