Begovic focused on finishing strongly with Stoke

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has revealed that he is fully focussed on aiming to help his side into the top ten of the Premier League, the Daily Star understands.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina number one is set appear at this summer’s World Cup finals, and has been constantly linked with a big money move away from the Britannia Stadium but has admitted that, at least until the end of the season, all that will be on his mind is helping his club side to as high a league position as possible.

Having taken seven points from the last nine available in the league, Mark Hughes’ men sit comfortably in eleventh place, nine clear of the bottom three.

The Potters, who have almost gone forty years without ending a top-flight season in the top half, can be backed at a price of 5/2 to secure a top ten finish this season.
