(GSM) – The Belgian top clash between Gent and Anderlecht ended in a 2-1 win to the visiting side, who as such remain within reaching distance from the top.
The two sides began the day level on points, and both five points behind leaders Genk.
The first half in Gent went by without goals but Kanu put the visitors in the lead after five minutes in the second.
Zlatan Ljubijankic equalised four minutes after the hour but striker Romelo Lukaku restored Anderlecht’s lead eight minutes later.
That second goal was enough for Anderlecht to secure the three points, which leaves the Brussels side as two points from Genk.
