RSC Anderlecht did what they needed to do to record an away win at Charleroi on Sunday, while Club Brugge crashed to a 0-2 defeat by Genk.
Brussels outfit Anderlecht needed only one goal to win in Charleroi, and it was Hungarian defender Roland Juhasz to provide the decider on 49 minutes.
Anderlecht are now two points behind leaders Standard de Liege, but do have a game in hand.
Third-placed Brugge failed to impress against KRC Genk (fourth). Stijn Huysegems put Genk ahead on 15 minutes and Adam Nemec doubled the advantage five minutes after the break.
Genk had Jelle Vossen sent off in the 59th minute but Brugge couldn’t take advantage and allowed their opponents to walk away with a 0-2 victory.
