Belgium are widely considered as one of Europe’s strongest sides at the moment and seen as a team that have the potential to reach the final stages at the 2014 World Cup. As a result, it is hardly surprising they are tipped to win their opening match against Algeria without too many problems.
While coach Marc Wilmost has the courtesy of choosing from a star-studded squad, packed with quality in all areas of the pitch, the reality is he only has one natural centre forward in his ranks and that is obviously Romelu Lukaku.
The towering striker is coming of a very successful season with Everton, while he also scored 4 goals in 3 warm-up matches to continue his goalscoring form. With that in mind, backing Lukaku to score the first goal at enhanced price of 4/1 at Ladbrokes seems like the right thing to do.
