Bellamy hoping for Liverpool return

Craig Bellamy has told his friends that he would like to return to Anfield, according to Daily Mail.

The Welsh striker has returned to Manchester City after the loan spell at Cardiff City, but he is training separately from the team.

Boss Roberto Mancini has deemed the Welshman surplus to requirements and the player is now looking to leave the club.

According to Daily Mail, after hearing of interest from Kenny Dalglish, Bellamy has expressed his desire to return to Anfield.

Liverpool did make a bid to sign the 32-year-old, but the problem is that the Reds want to get him on loan, while City are only interested in selling the unsettled player.

The Reds are prepared to present Bellamy with a bumper offer should City decide to let him leave on a free.
