Craig Bellamy could be allowed to leave Liverpool this summer, just a year after re-signing for the club, according to reports in The Sun.
After a year with Cardiff City in the Championship, Kenny Dalglish signed Wales international Bellamy and he performed well when called upon for the Anfield club.
However, with new manager Brendan Rodgers in charge, it is thought that Bellamy could move on in order to raise funds for new signings.
In terms of the clubs interested, Queens Park Rangers are currently leading the way. Manager Mark Hughes has worked with Bellamy on a couple of occasions before and would relish the chance to do so again.
It has been suggested earlier this summer that Bellamy could move back to Cardiff to aid their promotion bid, but now QPR are well in the mix to sign him.
With regards to Rodgers and his thoughts on Bellamy, he admitted this week that he’d ‘love’ the player to stay, but a ‘unique’ opportunity could lead to the 33-year-old moving on.
Overall, it seems uncertain where Bellamy will be playing his football next season. For now, he is concentrating on playing for Great Britain at the Olympics.
After this is concluded, perhaps his future can be decided with QPR and Cardiff two of many clubs likely to be watching on with interest.
