Manchester City Craig Bellamy should make his first Wales appearance in 10 months after being named in John Toshack’s squad to face Luxembourg in a friendly next week.
Bellamy has been absent from the last four Wales matches, but has been selected in a 23-man party for the clash at Llanelli’s Parc y Scarlets on Wednesday.
Millwall striker Steve Morison also features for the first time after pledging his allegiance to Wales, while Cardiff defender Darcy Blake could also be in line for a first cap.
Morison, who is eligible due to a Welsh grandparent, scored 23 goals as Millwall won promotion from League One last season and he could partner Bellamy next week.
Bellamy’s international future became the subject of speculation when Toshack overlooked him for a friendly against Sweden in March.
But any differences between the pair appeared to have been put aside in May when Bellamy was named in the initial squad for a friendly in Croatia.
He was later forced to pull out due to injury but his inclusion for next week’s final match is a boost for Wales ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers which begin in September.
