It is another twist in Hector Bellerin’s case with Spanish champions Barcelona reigniting interest for Arsenal right back.
Despite earlier claims coming from Spanish media that Barcelona have given up on the 21-year-old Spanish international, Sport.es reports that Blaugrana are still keeping close tabs on Arsenal star, who began his career at Camp Nou.
Barcelona’s technical director Robert Fernandez reportedly met with Bellerin earlier in May to make it known that Blaugrana are keen to take him back home and with Aleix Vidal’s growing frustration over lack of first-team football it is becoming more and more likely that Barcelona could pounce for Arsenal man in January.
Aleix Vidal has made it clear that lack of playing time is likely to force him out of the club as early as during the winter market which would subsequently urge Barcelona to cover the gap with Hector Bellerin, who has already been identified as top target by head coach Luis Enrique.
Hector Bellerin was a mainstay for Arsenal last season, making 36 starts in the Premier League and scoring one goal for the London-based club in the process.
