Bellerin pens new Arsenal deal

The Daily Star understands that teenage sensation Hector Bellerin has put pen to paper on a new deal with Arsenal.

The defender broke into the Gunners’ first team this season following an injury to fellow full-back Mathieu Debuchy, and has so far impressed in his seventeen appearances in all competitions, while he scored his first goal for the club in last month’s 5-0 win over Aston Villa.

Prior to this season, the Spaniard had played just twenty-six minutes of first team football for Arsene Wenger’s side, coming off the bench in the North London sides’ penalty shoot-out victory over West Bromwich Albion in last season’s League Cup.

With Bellerin now committed to Arsenal until 2019, Carl Jenkinson could well make his loan move to West Ham United permanent in the summer.

Arsenal host the Hammers tomorrow afternoon, looking to close the game on league leaders Chelsea, who face Southampton on Sunday.
