Jude Bellingham has confirmed he will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Dortmund sold winger Jadon Sancho last summer to Manchester United and Erling Haaland is now set to complete his transfer to Manchester City, but the 18-year-old simply isn’t prepared to change clubs just yet.
Bellingham joined Dortmund from Birmingham City back in 2020, and despite his tender age, he’s managed to establish himself as a regular starter with the Bundesliga side, making a total of 89 appearances in all competitions over less than two years, along with 10 goals and 17 assists. Primarily a box-to-box player, there’s practically no midfield role he hasn’t put a fine performance in. His contract has him bound to the club until the summer of 2025.
“The only future I’m thinking about is the next game with Dortmund,” Bellingham said when asked about his future. “I’ll be here next season. I’m ready.”
Bellingham already has 12 caps as a senior England international, and a number of top clubs around Europe are said to be watching his progress closely.
