Ben Arfa on Bayern Munich radar

Ligue 1 star Hatem Ben Arfa has emerged as a surprise target for German champions Bayern Munich, according to Kicker.

Following some scintillating performances for Nice this season, the former Newcastle United hotshot has been linked with a host of top clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon, Lazio, Chelsea, Liverpool and AC Milan among his suitors.

However, German magazine Kicker claims that Bayern Munich are hot on his trail as well as they plan to sign replacements for Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.

The same source claims that the Bavarians sporting director Michael Reschke watched the highly rated footballer in action in weekend’s triumph over Reims, where Ben Arfa set up the first and scored the second goal for his side from the penalty spot.

With his contract at Nice set to expire at the end of the current campaign, the winger will be spoilt for offers in the summer transfer window.
