Ben Arfa on Nice radar

Ligue 1 outfit Nice are considering a January move for Newcastle midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa, according to Canal +.

The highly rated winger is currently on loan at Hull City, but manager Steve Bruce has been disappointed with his behaviour and hinted the loan deal would be cut short.

And with Alan Pardew making it perfectly clear Ben Arfa had no future at St James’ Park, a January exit is on the cards.

The Frenchman’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, although there is a chance Newcastle will agree to terminate his contract in the coming weeks.

If that happens, Nice will attempt to lure the 27-year-old back to France, although the player’s €3 million yearly wage is likely to prove a problem.

Despite failing to live up to his potential while at Newcastle, Ben Arfa still managed 12 goals in 76 Premier League outings for the Magpies.
