France hotshot Hatem Ben Arfa admits that he could stay with Nice beyond the current season in spite of the heavy interest in his services.
Les Aiglons showed a great deal of faith in the former Newcastle star after he was allowed to leave England in the summer, and the 28-year-old quickly paid them back with some scintillating showings.
Ben Arfa went on to score 7 goals in 13 league appearances, helping Nice climb to European positions, while also catching the eye of some bigger clubs.
The attacking midfielder, who has just over six months left on his deal at Allianz Riviera, admits that he may decide to extend his stay with les Aiglons.
“Will I stay at Nice at the end of the season? Why not? I really like it here,” Ben Arfa confessed to L’Equipe. “But, all this will be discussed later in the season.”
Hatem Ben Arfa has even managed to play himself back into the first team plans of France coach Didier Deschamps and he will have a perfect opportunity to prove his worth when les Bleus take on Germany and England in upcoming international friendlies.
