Norwich City central defender Ben Godfrey has passed a medical at Everton and is set to join the Premier League club, according to Sky Sports. It has been report that the 22-year-old passed a medical on Saturday and will join the Toffees for an initial transfer fee of £25 million.
Godfrey did well for Norwich in the Premier League last season, although that was not enough for the Canaries to stay in the top flight of English football. According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old made 30 appearances in the Premier League in 2019-20, while so far this season, they have made three appearances in the Championship.
Everton are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and are aiming to challenge for the Champions League places this season. The Toffees will be a better team with Godfrey in it, and the youngster will also improve and develop as a footballer under manager Carlo Ancelotti.
