Benatia to be sold?

According to Tuttosport, Juventus could sell Mehdi Benatia in order to make room for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. Of course, it goes without saying that this is the kind of move that could potentially divide the fan base in more ways than one, given that the 31 year old only arrived at Juve last year. Benatia was signed from Bayern Munich where he spent three years of his career, quickly establishing himself as one of the best centre backs in the world.

Alas, football moves on very quickly and de Ligt is considered to be a hot commodity in the game right now, especially given his performances for Ajax over the course of the last few months. The 19 year old has already made a series of appearances for the Netherlands, and is considered to be wise beyond his years with his positioning and composure on the ball being two of his many attributes.
