Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun could be moving to Spanish La Liga in the coming days, according to AS.

The same source has suggested that Getafe are on the verge of signing the footballer and they have given him 24 hours to respond to their offer.

Meanwhile, Malaga are also showing interest, hoping to hijack the deal at the last minute.

Given that he is a free agent at the moment, Yossi Benayoun can be signed outside the transfer window, which is something the two La Liga rivals are looking to exploit.

Benayoun, 33, has been released from his contract at Chelsea in June, but he has had no success in finding a new club so far.

He has been forced to leave English Premier League after eight years, during which he represented Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham.

Benayoun has made a total of 194 Premiership appearances, scoring 31 goals in the process.
