(GSM) – Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner accepts manager Arsène Wenger’s warning to be patient after the player complained at the lack of first-team football following his return from injury.
Bendtner, who has yet to start a full game for the Gunners in the Premier League this season, has raised question marks about his future at the Emirates after complaining about his limited time on the pitch this term.
Gunners boss Wenger had earlier denied that the 22-year-old could depart from the club and Bendtner is now focusing on reclaiming his place in the Gunners’ first-team.
“I know my place,” Bendtner told BT.
“I haven’t been shouted at by manager, Arsene Wenger, but he has told me the same that he has told the media – that I need to be patient when I have been out for so long.
“This is something I totally can understand and I have been clear about this all the time, but I feel fit and want to play from the start.
“I need to do that in order to continue to evolve – that’s just the way it is.”
