Nicklas Bendtner has expressed his happiness over the partnership he is forming with Stephane Sessegnon at Sunderland.
The Dane has been leading the line for the Black Cats this season with the former Paris Saint-Germain player behind him.
Sessegnon assisted Bendtner’s first goal for the club against West Brom at the weekend and the Arsenal loanee believes that there is more to come from Steve Bruce’s side this season.
Bendtner told BBC Newcastle: “We try to find each other, to look to get each other in good positions.”
“We do a lot of work on it in training and you can see it’s paying off.”
“We have great players here and we should be in a different position in the table.”
“It’s down to us to prove that and not talk about it, we’d rather show on the pitch that we should be at the other side of the table.”
“I’m sure we will in the weeks to come after the international break, because we’re good enough and strong enough, but we need those back-to-back wins.”
Bendtner will come up against his home club in Sunderland’s next match, when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on October 16.
