According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Serie A newcomers Benevento are hoping to make quite the splash this summer as they set their sights on three big name signings.
Benevento secured the Serie A title this past Monday after moving 24 points clear of their nearest contenders.
One of the names on their hit list is none other than former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, who is currently a free agent after leaving Trabzonspor back in March.
Loic Remy is said to be undergoing medical checks on Wednesday ahead of a switch over from Lille, whereas Andre Schurrle, who also used to play for Chelsea, is being linked with a move to the club.
Given how short the gap between this season and the next is supposed to be, it makes all the sense in the world for Benevento to strike while the iron is hot and make a splash in the market.
