(GSM) – Benfica are through to the round of sixteen in the UEFA Europa League following a very convincing 4-0 win over Hertha BSC on Tuesday.

In the only Europa League game to take place on Tuesday rather than next Thursday, pressure was on Hertha to score at least once after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

But the Germans failed to do so and instead suffered a heavy defeat that started with Argentinian Pablo Aimar’s opening goal on 25 minutes.

Oscar Cardozo doubled the lead shortly after the break, and Javi Garcia made it 3-0 near the hour mark. Cardozo finished it off with 4-0 three minutes later.
