Heerenveen midfielder Filip Djuricic will be joining Benfica in the summer transfer window, Record has revealed.
The Portuguese giants had a €6 million bid accepted for the Serbian playmaker, who is expected to sign a five-year deal subject to passing a medical at Estadio da Luz.
Djuricic, 21, will be welcomed by his international teammate Nemanja Matic, who has become a key player for the Eagles quickly after Javi Garcia was sold to Manchester City.
The Serbia international was linked with a number of high-profile clubs from Europe, but Benfica eventually managed to win the race for his signature.
He has gone to become one of the best attacking midfielders in Dutch Eredivisie over the last two years, while also earning a regular starting berth in the national team.
Djuricic has been in fine form this season, scoring 5 goals and producing 3 assists in 22 Eredivisie fixtures.
