ESPN is reporting that Benfica and Stoke are vying for Chivas Guadalajara midfielder Marco Fabian.

The same source has suggested that the Mexican giants have received two proposals for the highly rated footballer, one from Portugal and another from Saudi Arabia.

According to Record, one of the clubs in question is Benfica, but the Portuguese newspaper has also revealed that Stoke City have joined the chase.

Everything suggests the 24-year-old will be leaving his current employers to make a switch to Europe, with his next destination likely to be revealed in the coming days.

The attacking midfielder has long been considered one of Mexico’s most talented players, and he has largely impressed playing for various national teams.

Fabian represented El Tri at the 2012 Summer Games, 2012 Youth Festival in Toulon, 2013 Gold Cup and also made two substitute appearances in the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.

He was especially impressive at the Toulon Youth Festival, having scored 7 goals in 5 matches.
