Portuguese daily newspaper Record understands that Benfica are stepping up their efforts to sign Serbian winger Andrija Zivkovic from Partizan Belgrade.
The Eagles have been impressed by the talented footballer and they see him as a perfect replacement for compatriot Lazar Markovic, who was sold to Liverpool.
Zivkovic is widely regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects at the moment, but with his employers in difficult financial situation, it is believed he can be acquired for mere €3 million.
The two clubs have established initial contact and everything suggests the deal will be wrapped up before the summer transfer window closes.
Andrija Zivkovic, 18, is already considered a first team regular at Partizan Belgrade and has so far scored 5 goals in 24 league matches.
The youngster was handed a senior national team debut in October 2013, while making 5 appearances for Serbia Under-19 side at the European Championship in Hungary earlier this summer.
