Benfica captain Luisao could be moving to Major League Soccer in the near future, according to A Bola.
The 35-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and it appears that he will be leaving the Eagles after spending 14 years at Estadio da Luz.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that Luisao is seriously thinking about ending his career in Major League Soccer.
Namely, Benfica have established a cooperation with Orlando City a while back and the MLS side sees the veteran defender as a very good addition to the squad.
Orlando City had the worst defensive record in the MLS last term, conceding 60 goals in 34 fixtures, so no wonder they are desperate to reinforce their back line.
And with Luisao still playing at a very high level, the Brazilian could be a perfect option to improve the back four and also serve as a role model for younger players in the squad.
