Benfica eyeing Argentine starlet

Portuguese daily newspaper Record has learned that Benfica are keeping close tabs on Huracan winger Cristian Espinoza.

The Eagles have been closely monitoring the performances of the 20-year-old footballer of late and they could soon come forward with an official proposal.

And while Huracan are ready to listen to offers for their prized asset, they have informed interested sides that it would take around €9 million to purchase the talented footballer.

Despite his fragile age, Cristian Espinoza already has two full seasons in the senior squad behind him, and he has so far made 61 league appearances, scoring 5 goals in the process.

The youngster represented Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand, but he couldn’t help the team get past the group stage.

Nonetheless, Espinoza seems to have done enough to catch the eye of several top clubs and he could be moving to Europe as early as this summer.
