Benfica eyeing Moussa Dembele

Portuguese giants Benfica are showing interest in Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, according to London Evening Standard.

The Eagles recently made a check on the talented footballer as they watched the youngster in the 3-2 defeat to Burnley, where Dembele scored one and set up another for the Cottagers.

As a result, Benfica are expected to come forward with an official proposal in the coming weeks, especially considering that the 19-year-old will be out of contract in the summer.

Premier League title contenders Tottenham are widely believed to lead the chase at the moment and they came very close to signing the forward in the January window.

Moussa Dembele has impressed since coming through the youth ranks at Craven Cottage, and he has been in scintillating form this season.

The highly rated youngster managed to score 12 goals in 34 Championship appearances, despite the fact that the Cottagers are involved in a difficult relegation tussle.
