Portuguese giants Benfica are prepared to go the extra mile to keep hold of Brazilian attacker Talisca, according to O Jogo.

With the highly rated footballer catching the eye of top European sides shortly after arriving at Estadio da Luz, the Eagles are already preparing a new contract for their star player.

While Talisca will obviously see his salary improved, the amount of his release clause will also be increased from €45m to €60m.

This should ensure that the 20-year-old remains with the Eagles at least for a couple of more years, or see the club receive a bumper payout in case he leaves.

Talisca has excelled in the attacking midfield role since joining from Bahia, having bagged 6 goals in 7 league outings.

The highly rated footballer, who has represented Brazil at Under-21 level, is widely tipped to be called by the Seleccao boss Carlos Dunga in the near future.
