Benfica have shown interest in Barcelona full-back Maxwell and Rubin Kazan defender Cristian Ansaldi, according to A Bola.
The Portuguese giants have enjoyed a remarkable start to the season following the heavy summer spending, but they aim to further reinforce the squad in January.
After summer signing Joan Capdevila failed to prove his potential at La Luz, coach Jorge Jesus is eager to sign a new full-back.
According to A Bola, Jesus is keeping tabs on Barcelona full-back Maxwell and Rubin’s Cristian Ansaldi.
The Brazilian defender is reportedly looking to leave Camp Nou in the search for first team football and should be available for around €4.5 million.
The Rubin Kazan defender, on the other hand, could welcome Benfica’s interest as he hopes to embark on a new challenge, although he will not come on the cheap.
