On Thursday, Benfica secured passage to the Europa League round of 16 by playing a goalless draw away to Toulouse, on the back of a 2-1 win in the first leg in Lisbon.
After the final whistle, midfielder Joao Neves, who had just lost his mother to a long battle with cancer, was understandably emotional as he and his teammates thanked the traveling fans for their support.
