Benfica president open talks with clubs from Manchester

Benfica preisdent Luis Filipe Vieira arrived in England earlier in the week to watch the Champions League Last-16 tie between Manchester City and Monaco, whereas he also used his visit to open talks with both clubs from Manchester for Nelson Semedo and Ederson.

The highly-rated 23-year-old defender Nelson Semedo has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and it is expected that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to wrap up a deal as soon as possible, seeing that he might end up losing his primary target Victor Lindelof.

On the other end, Pep Guardiola has also opened talks with Benfica president as the Spaniard is looking at a prospect of adding Benfica goalkeeper Ederson to his ranks.

Manchester City manager is believed to be disappointed with his own summer choice Claudio Bravo, which is why Portugal media Ojogo is suggesting that Ederson has been identified as the perfect long-term solution for Manchester City goal.

Luis Filipe Vieira is negotiating a double deal worth well over £60 million, with the Brazilian goalkeeper expected to cost £33.8 million alone, which would make his the second-most expensive goalkeeper in history behind Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.
