Portuguese Primeira Liga leaders Benfica have reportedly informed interested clubs of their asking price for goalkeeper Ederson, O Jogo has suggested.
The 23-year-old has quickly become one of world’s most sought-after shot-stoppers and an impressive performance in midweek’s triumph over Borussia Dortmund did nothing to hurt his growing reputation.
Long-term admirers Manchester City are reportedly ready to make their interest concrete, but they have been told it would take at least €40 million to prize the Brazilian away from Estadio da Luz.
Ederson has only made 26 league appearances for Benfica so far, while featuring in another 9 Champions League fixtures, but his displays have been so good that the Eagles face a tough task of keeping hold of his services.
The talented footballer performed heroics in the 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund, saving a penalty as well as few other clear-cut chances to deny the Millionaires forwards.
