Primeira Liga title chasers Benfica have made an agreement with AS Monaco over a summer deal for the 20-year-old winger Gil Dias.
The talented youngster is currently playing for Rio Ave on loan from the Principality club and his performances for the Portuguese outfit have been nothing short of impressive.
The versatile footballer who can fill in a number of positions in the final third and can equally act as a winger, midfielder or a forward has amassed 28 league appearances this season for Rio Ave, scoring five goals and managing three assists in the process to help his club climb up to the seventh place in the standings.
According to reports from Correio da Manha, the highly-rated prospect has been on Benfica’s radar for quite some time now and that a deal that would take him to Estadio Luz next season is already in place.
Gil Dias is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Portuguese champions, who believe Portugal youngster has a bright future ahead of him.
