Benfica have competed two loan deals on transfer deadline day, signing Diogo Rosado from Blackburn and Bryan Garcia from Atletico Mineiro.
The Portuguese giants announced the deals on their official website, with both players signed on loan until the end of the season.
Neither of the two players is expected to challenge for a starting berth this season, but they will have a chance to prove their worth to club coaches and possibly earn an outright transfer.
Diogo Rosado, 22, began his career at Sporting Lisbon, before joining Blackburn on a free transfer last summer.
The midfielder only made two Championship appearances for Rovers this season.
Bryan Garcia, 20, is a left-sided defender who is owned by America Mineiro, a club competing in Brazil’s second division.
Despite his fragile age, Garcia was considered a first team regular at America, and has made a total of 44 league appearances last season, scoring 3 goals in the process.
