Benfica have informed interested clubs it will take around €20 million to sign Oscar Cardozo, according to Record.
The experienced striker is followed by a number of high-profile sides, including Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, and he is seriously pondering his options.
The Eagles are prepared to cash in on their prized asset, but are determined not to sell on the cheap.
Portuguese newspaper Record claims the player’s agent yesterday spoke with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira and was informed the Paraguayan is valued at €20 million.
The hefty price tag is likely to put off most of the interested clubs, although it is believed the Eagles are willing to somewhat lower their asking price.
Oscar Cardozo joined Benfica in a €9.2 million deal from Newell’s in June 2007 and has since scored 89 goals in 135 league appearances.
The Paraguayan finished last league campaign as top goalscorer of the competition, bagging 20 goals in 29 games.
