Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola is reporting that Benfica are set to complete the signing of Twente forward Bilal Ould-Chikh.
The two clubs have reached an agreement over the transfer fee and the player is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Eagles in the coming days.
Ould-Chikh was also on the radar of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and FC Porto, but Benfica were the quickest to react and have now secured the signature of one of Netherlands’ hottest prospects.
The 17-year-old has already amassed 16 Eredivisie appearances, scoring one goal, and he is a key member of the Netherlands Under-19 squad.
Chikh is the most effective as the right winger, but he can also be used on the left hand side.
The summer recruitment at Estadio da Luz is set to continue in the coming weeks, with the Eagles also showing interest in Aleksandar Mitrovic and Andrija Zivkovic, among other players.
