Benfica tell Chelsea to raise their offer for Luiz

(GSM) – Chelsea will have to up their bid if they want to sign David Luiz from Benfica.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea will have to stump up £33million to bring the centre half to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are willing to go far for the Brazilan defender who is one of Europe’s most highly rated young defenders. The Blues were ready to pay £27m for Luiz who has also been targeted by Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to sign a new centre half now Alex is ruled out for the start of the season with an injury.
