Portuguese giants Benfica plan to sell star forward Jonas in the near future, according to O Jogo.
The 32-year-old has been in stunning form ever since he joined the club from Valencia, scoring impressive 43 goals in 49 league appearances.
But, even though he extended his contract until June 2018, the Eagles plan to take advantage of his excellent performances and turn a hefty profit on his services.
Benfica recently rejected a €25 million offer for their star player from China as chairman Luis Felipe Vieira was not satisfied with the financial arrangement, but they will probably consider similar offers in the summer transfer window.
Jonas should have no shortage of proposals at the end of the season after yet another impressive campaign and he will also be looking to help the Eagles in the Champions League clash against Zenit, where Rui Vitoria’s side are 23/20 to claim maximum points.
