Portuguese media outlet Record has learned that a number of first team players is expected to leave Estadio da Luz in the upcoming transfer window.

Having been eliminated from both Europe and Taca de Portugal, the Eagles no longer need such a big squad for the second part of the season.

As a result, they plan to cash in on no less than six players in January, with no less than four forwards set to be placed on the transfer list.

Injury-prone Miralem Sulejmani is finally set to leave Estadio da Luz and he reportedly has suitors in German Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, former Portugal international Nelson Oliveira is believed to be a January target for Swansea, while summer recruit Bebe is also nearing the exit door. Franco Jara, Lisandro Lopez and Loris Benito complete the list.

Benfica have already created a six-point cushion at the Primeira Liga summit and they are in a very good position to defend the league trophy.
