Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez called a truce in his power struggle with chief executive Rick Parry after holding clear the air talks at Anfield.
Benitez's relationship with Parry had become increasingly strained as he seethed over Liverpool's failure to sign key transfer targets, notably Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry.
The Spaniard had deflected recent questions about the Barry bid by insisting Parry was responsible for negotiations with Villa.
But the pair have reestablished their relationship following lengthy discussions.
“Clear the air talks have taken place. It was a positive discussion and we will now move forward together,” Benitez said.
Parry added: “I can confirm that we had a friendly and positive meeting and we're moving forward.”
