(GSM) – Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez’s confidence has grown afther his side demolished Burnley (4-0) at Turf Moor.

The Reds now turn their focus to the Europa League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid. Benitez was happy with his team’s form ahead of Thursday’s crucial fixture – their only chance to remain in the hunt for some silverware in an otherwise disappointing season.

“After four goals away and a clean sheet we have to have confidence so I think we can beat Atletico and be in the final and get three points in each game and we have a chance to finish in the top four,” the Spanish manager said.

“We know it will be very difficult but we will try. We were expecting something more but hopefully we can be stronger next season.”
