Benitez heading for Celtic?

According to a recent report from Sunday Mirror, Rafael Benitez is being lined up to take over from Neil Lennon at Celtic.

The speculation has been rampant in the wake of Rafa leaving China earlier this week with many believing that it is just a matter of time before he returns to the Premier League in England. Alas, a man of his stature is going to have plenty of options across world football, and that includes up in Scotland.

Rangers are destined to take the reigns once again from Celtic after almost a decade of the latter winning league title after league title – but maybe Benitez can be the one to shift the narrative back in Celtic’s direction.

Whatever the case may be it feels as if there’s a big decision coming from the Spaniard, and nobody is quite sure where he’s going to end up. In short, he’s got us right where he wants us.
